Dr. Schmidt is a native of Menomonee Falls Wisconsin. After completion of his undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, he attended Marquette University, College of Dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). David then more to Lexington, Kentucky where he earned his Medical Degree (MD at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, and his certificate to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Schmidt resides here in Fond du lac with his family and enjoys his family time as well as the outdoors including hunting and shooting.Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fond du Lac County Dental Society and the WashingtonOzaukee County Dental Society and a Rotarian in West Bend.Dr. Schmidt's interests in the specialty include medicine, anesthesia, facial trauma surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting for dental implants, and orthognathic surgery.
