Did you know that we have an amazing organization here, the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Coalition (SEARHC), a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive healthcare services to the residents of Southeast Alaska?
SEARHC was founded in 1975 under the Indian Self-Determination Act, and they have been working to improve the health and well-being of our community for many years. They are the guardians of our community!
SEARHC has a history that is more exciting than a Hollywood blockbuster! They started out as a way to meet the unique healthcare needs of our remote and diverse populations in Alaska. Now, they have transformed into a comprehensive care organization that combines medical, dental, mental health, and community services. That's amazing!
