Dr. Goldtrap was born and raised in Fort Smith, AR. He attended Southside High School in Fort Smith and went on to Arkansas Tech University, where he graduated with his BSBA. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Tennessee School of Dentistry in 1997. He attended post-graduate work in a General Practice Residency program that was hospital based at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Goldtrap Served 3 years of active duty in the Navy from 1997 until his Honorable Discharge in 2000 when he moved back to Fort Smith. He has kept his military support by serving as the dentist for the 188th Air National Guard Unit located in Fort Smith. After his time in the military he opened practices in both Fort Smith and Paris, Arkansas. He is now excited to join the Leap Kids family! Treating children is such a joy, I especially enjoy seeing them regain confidence in their smile and overall oral health. Dr. Goldtrap is a proud father of 5 children and swim coach to many. He is a certified swim coach and currently coaches the Fort Smith Tideriders. Hes also quite the swimmer himself! He was finally out-swam by his 12-year daughter this last year in the Beaver Lake Memorial Day 4K swim hes looking forward to his rematch this year!
