Dr. Carolyn graduated with honors from Providence College with a major in Biology. She was then awarded her D.M.D and Masters of Public Health from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After completing a one year program in advanced dental education at Lutheran Medical Center, she went on to receive her training and specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from New York Presbyterian hospitalColumbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. Her hospital-based training emphasized clinical experience in the areas of pediatric dental trauma, oral conscious sedation, and taking care of children using general anesthesia. Her love of community service has taken her to various locations such as Guatemala, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic where she has provided dental and medical care in addition to humanitarian relief to those in most need. She is a proud supporter of Operation Smile, an international charity that provides reconstructive surgeries to children born with facial deformities, as well as the Head Start Program, Give Kids A Smile, and the Special Olympics. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentists.
