Clinic Introduction

Dr. John Vitale is from North Jersey. After attending undergraduate college at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ, he began formal training in dentistry at Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in Hackensack, NJ. Then Dr. Vitale was awarded a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1976. Dr. Vitale right after graduation started into specialty training for oral and maixliofacial surgery. His emphasis was on anesthesiology at Fordham University Hospital in the North Bronx. After the training, Dr. Vitale attended Lincoln City Hospital in the South Bronx, as an intern, and then resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Vitale continued on to complete the position of Chief Resident at Lincoln Hospital in 1979. He then received his commision as an officer in the United States Air Force in 1973 and he and his wife moved to south Florida after residency where Dr. Vitale served as Chief of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the USAF Hospital in Homestead AFB. After completing his time in the Air Force, he and his family moved to Toms River and setup the private practice on Lakehurst Road that still thrives today. The doctor was granted full attending doctor staff privilages in the Deparment of Surgery at Community Medical Center in Toms River and is still enjoying his staff membership.
