About RiverPark Dentistry Meet the Dentist: Dr. Shelby P. Lapiad, DDS Dr. Lapiad was born in Camarillo and raised in Oxnard, where her family still resides. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine and obtained dual bachelorâ??s degrees in Biochemistry and in Chemistry. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry with high academic and clinical merit. At UCLA, she received various dental awards and scholarships including the Excellence in Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics, which is an award for excellent crown and bridge dental work in the dental clinic.
