Wisdom teeth

Wisdom teeth, which are often referred to as the third largest teeth, are the latest set of teeth to grow in our mouths. It lurks and sleeps under our innermost gums, awakening and appearing between the ages of 17 and 25. The origin of wisdom teeth can be traced back to the history of mankind, long, long ago, when our ancestors had bigger jaws and ate mainly hard and rough foods. Back then wisdom teeth were the teeth that were used to chew these rough foods better. Over time, in modern times we no longer have wide jaws and the need to chew our food, our eating habits have changed to a softer diet with less need for these extra large teeth, so wisdom teeth are an optional presence in our mouths. According to some science, a portion of the better developed population will not have wisdom teeth, while the majority of the population will have them.
