Clinic Introduction

Dr. Chris Wermerson grew up in Brandon, South Dakota and after some time away is extremely happy to be back home in Sioux Falls. Dr. Wermerson graduated from Brandon Valley High School and continued his education at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. While at Concordia, Dr. Wermerson was a member of the Concordia Cobbers basketball team and graduated with a B.A. degree in Biology. He then pursued his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of his DMD degree, Dr. Wermerson served as a dental officer in the US Navy for five years. During his first year in the Navy he completed a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) program at Naval Medical Center San Diego. He then served two years aboard the USS RUSHMORE (LSD-47), our states amphibious assault ship, as the ships dental officer. Following this he worked with the Marines at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, CA. At the completion of his active duty commitment, Dr. Wermerson completed a two-year orthodontic residency program at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he graduated with a Master of Science in Orthodontics. After many years away at school and in the Navy, Dr. Wermerson is thrilled to be back in Sioux Falls.
