Clinic Introduction

In 2002, we became the first dental office in, Lenawee and Hillsdale County Michigan, to incorporate the Waterlase hard and soft tissue laser into daily practice. This technology can be used to prepare and restore teeth, often without the need for anesthesia. Benefits to the patient include ; no numbness, no whine of the dental high speed drill, and tooth colored restorations. In 2002 we also added the Twilite laser which can be used in soft tissue surgery and whitening teeth. The addition of the Periolase MVP-7 laser provides the ability to treat gum disease without scalpel and suture. The year 2003 brought the addition of T-Scan II to the office. T-Scan II is a computerized bite analysis program used in TMJ, Periodontal, and Crown and Bridge procedures. Electric handpieces were also a welcome addition to our practice in 2004. Electric handpieces significantly reduce the dreaded 'whine of the drill' in those instances when a laser cannot be used. The year 2005 brings the addition of a Seiler Revelation Microscope. This microscope allows the staff to work at powers of magnification up to 20 X. The microscope also utilizes a digital camera and video camera to help patients understand each procedure. In 2006, the practice continues to move away from simply filling holes in teeth by introducing the Carifree System which allows dentist to treat the cause of cavities, before they become cavities. This exciting, diagnostic and therapeutic, system has the potential to save patients time, money, and the need to repeatedly have cavities filled. In 2007, our laser dentistry technology took a big step forward with the addition of the Powerlase AT. This laser's technology allows users to preform many more procedures without the need for anesthetic. With the arrival of 2008, the practice will introduce the Cadent Itero System. The Cadent Itero is a laser optical scanner that virtually eliminates the need for crown and bridge impressions.
