Clinic Introduction

This clinic is a walking medical expert, and has been AAAHC certified since 2000. It is located on the small island of Ketchikan in southeast Alaska. It takes a little effort to get there. You have to take a boat or plane to get there. The island is like a winding ribbon, with land and islands along the coast, which is 550 miles long! The Pacific Ocean is close to the west, and Canada is to the north, south and east. The island is mainly mountains and rivers, and the rain is also very abundant. It rains 180 inches every year, and we receive half an inch of rain almost every day. We are the only Indian health station on the island! We will enthusiastically provide temporary care for those ANAI friends who come to Ketchikan from nearby villages. Ketchikan Indian Community THC, affectionately called KIC by everyone, is a federally recognized Indian tribe. It was established as early as 1940 under Section 16 of the famous 1934 Indian Reorganization Act, and later revised in Alaska in 1936. KIC provides a full range of services to more than 5,400 Alaska NativesAmerican Indians through the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and the Indian Health Service (HIS). Today, KIC has become the largest tribal leader in southeastern Alaska, amazing!
