Kevin R McPherson DDS, located at 100 South Merrill Avenue in Glendive is a general dentistry practice offering comprehensive dental treatment. Dr McPherson’s treatment philosophy is to preserve natural tooth structure whenever possible. Our atmosphere is relaxed, with emphasis placed upon high quality dentistry and patient education. Dr Kevin R McPherson: Dr McPherson is a native of Glendive. Kevin’s father, the late David R McPherson practiced dentistry in Glendive for over four decades, building and establishing the practice that is now Sandcreek Dental. His brother, Greg McPherson, also practiced dentistry in Glendive for several years before relocating to St Charles, MO with his wife and children. Kevin’s two other brothers, Steven and Bradley, are physicians. His mother, Twylla, had a photography studio for many years and also taught at the high school in recent years. Dr Kevin R McPherson graduated from DCHS and attended The University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies. Dr. McPherson then earned his masters degree in cell and molecular biology at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. While attending Tulane University, he was accepted to Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. McPherson was a member of the school’s C. Edmund Kells Honor Society and was the only recipient of the award for excellence in the field of oral medicine upon graduation. His long-term goal was to return to his hometown of Glendive to practice dentistry. After graduation from dental school, Kevin and his wife, Angela, left New Orleans and moved to Glendive with their son, Ethan, in June 2013. Kevin began working with Dr. Randall J Reynolds (former partner of David McPherson) in Miles City and the demolition and design process began for the future office in Glendive. Sadly, Reynolds passed away in September 2013. Kevin continued to practice at Dr. Reynolds office (now Yerger Family Dental) until September 2014 at which point Kevin dedicated his full attention to the final phase of his office build-out in Glendive. Dr McPherson’s office is located in the historic Henry Dion building, on South Merrill Avenue. The office occupies the two suites on the corner of South Merrill Avenue and Bell Street. The space was originally the Exchange State Bank, but had seen many other uses in recent years. The renovations started with a complete demolition of the interior of two suites. They were then combined and designed into one large office with approximately 3500 square feet of space. Efforts were made to preserve architectural details of the building, including the original 14-foot tin ceiling. Transom windows that had been covered for decades were replaced with glass as originally designed, bringing natural light into the space. The high ceilings and natural light create a very comfortable atmosphere. After new electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems were installed, new dental equipment and office furniture were moved in. In December 2014, the doors of his new office opened for business. Kevin and his wife enjoy living in Glendive and especially love raising their son here, living close to lifelong friends and family. Kevin is looking forward to providing excellent dental care to patients in Glendive and the surrounding area for many years to come. Dr. McPherson’s team is a caring and experienced staff.
