La Maestra Community Health Center is not only the pride of our community, but also its shining jewel. We are committed to leading the way in healthcare reform and building a caring medical home for more than 45,000 patients in East, Central and South San Diego County. Since 1990, we started as a lonely volunteer doctor and have gradually grown to become a PCMH Level 3 Federally Qualified Health Center. Today, we have established ten service sites in underserved areas of San Diego County, including school clinics and mobile clinics, to serve the community more widely and deeply.
